Bring a splash to St. Joseph

The St. Joseph Splash Pad Committee is raising funds to build a splash pad at Woodard Family Park in St. Joseph.

Meet the Committee

Julie Hendrickson, Jen Wagner and Nora Maberry are working together to raise $150,000 to build a splash pad at Woodard Family Park that will be named after former Mayor B.J Hackler.

Hendrickson has worked for the village of St. Joseph for 25 years, Wagner is the owner of Wagner Signs and Graphics and Maberry is the owner of the St. Joseph Record. All three women are dedicated to bringing this project to fruition for the children of St. Joseph.

The history of the project

In 2018 the idea of a splash pad was broached by a number of citizens but no clear fundraising goal materialized.

In 2021 Former St. Joseph Mayor B.J. Hackler passed away. His family approached the village about having people donate money for a project within one of the parks and the idea for the B.J. Hackler Splash Pad was formed.
